Body MRI Clinical Fellowship

The dedicated Body MRI fellowship is an
intensive 12 month clinical fellowship in Body MRI including musculoskeletal,
cardiac, pediatric and chest, abdomen and pelvic MRI studies. In the course of
the fellowship, the fellow will learn how to prescribe MRI protocols and will
gain experience with new MRI techniques. One dedicated MRI fellow is accepted
each year.
Candidates must be Board-Certified or
Board-Qualified in Diagnostic Radiology and must be eligible to obtain a State
of Maryland medical license. Along with your completed application, please

Body/ Cardiovascular MRI
Research Fellowship
Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD
The research fellowship in body/ cardiovascular MRI
is arranged in conjunction with individual faculty members. Topics include
cardiac/ vascular MRI, abdominal imaging, pelvic imaging, breast imaging and
oncologic imaging. Faculty include Drs. Bluemke, Kamel, Macura, Vogel-Claussen
and Fayad.
Candidates should contact individual faculty
members in order to determine potential areas of advanced study.
Applicants have generally completed their M.D. or Ph.D. and/ or residency

Clinical Cardiovascular Imaging Fellowship (RSNA

Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD
Fellowship position available at Johns Hopkins
University School of Medicine, Department of Radiology beginning July 2006, July
2007 and July 2008. Curriculum includes 6 months clinical training and 6 months
of cardiovascular imaging research (1 year total). Johns Hopkins operates 2-64
slice MDCT scanners, 2 dedicated cardiovascular MRI scanners, 10 MRI scanners
total.
M.D. applicants must be a graduate of a North
American radiology residency program. Board-Certified or Board-Qualified in
Diagnostic Radiology and must be eligible to obtain a State of Maryland medical
license. Sponsorship is provided by the RSNA.

Clinical Preceptorship in Body Magnetic
Resonance Imaging
Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD
This
preceptorship is designed to provide the practicing
radiologist with practical experience in Clinical Body Magnetic Resonance
Imaging. The visiting physician will observe daily scanning activities, discuss
clinical indications for Body MRI examinations, review basic pulse sequences
used to address the common clinical problems and further discuss the principles
of MRI. The Division of MRI performs about 25 studies per day. Examinations
include liver, kidney, pelvis, chest, musculoskeletal MR and cardiovascular MRI.
The fellowship provides a wide range of experience in clinical body MRI. This
schedule is based on participation from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday. 40 AMA Category I credits are granted for this
preceptorship. Reservations are confirmed by appointment only.
